Turkey demands “unconditional surrender” to its appetites from Greece

Ankara tightens the rope

There is no shame in the statements made by Turkish officials, who are essentially asking for “land and water” for their illegal claims against the our national sovereignty.

The occasion this time, gave the anti-Navtex issued by our country, which was accompanied by a diatribe, on the occasion of the extension of the investigations of the Oruç Reis within the Greek continental shelf.

In a highly provocative statement, the spokesman of the Turkish Foreign Ministry, Hami Aksoy, responded to the protest of the Greek MFA, characterizing Greece's effort to react and prevent Turkey's activities in the Eastern Mediterranean.

«It is futile for Greece to try to protest our activities after every NAVTEX, based on its maximalist claims. Our country will continue its exploration in the region within the framework of our rights under international law,» he said.

Indeed, it calls on the Greece «an unconditional dialogue».

«Instead of blaming Turkey with unfounded accusations and complaining to third countries as it always does, we expect Greece to refrain from such steps that increase tension in the region and to contribute to the creation of an appropriate climate for negotiations», Aksoy stresses and adds:

«We again invite Athens to an ”unconditional” dialogue on both the situation in the Eastern Mediterranean and other issues between the two countries.».
