The events for the national anniversary of 25 March and the feast of Annunciation of the Virgin Mary, honoured this year the Kythira General High School.
The school celebration inside the educational institution was preceded by impromptu dances in the courtyard, with the events culminating with the parade of students, who escorted the school flag through the streets of Country.
Thus, the children of the Kythera General High School put into practice their will to honour the struggles of their ancestors, which they had formulate and in writing one day in advance to the competent bodies, requesting (and eventually securing) permission to march exceptionally, despite the fact that this was not foreseen in this year's national anniversary celebration programme, due to the «measures in place to prevent the transmission of covid-19».
