Michel de Nostradamus, or simply Nostradamus, was a controversial figure who became known for his «Prophecies.».
This is a book full of quatrains, written in 1555, which many readers credit with predicting numerous major historical events.
A few days after the death of Queen Elizabeth, with her son, Charles, ascending to the throne as king of the United Kingdom and 14 other countries, one of his predictions is set to send shockwaves through the palace.
The Alarming Forecast
A leading expert on his writings, author Mario Redding revealed that Nostradamus had accurately predicted the year and age at which Queen Elizabeth would die and that King Charles wouldfrom the throne shortly after the beginning of his reign.
According to mirror.co.uk, he states in his book that Nostradamus had predicted that Charles would reign for only a short time and would be forced to abdicate the throne for two reasons.
First, the Commonwealth will be on the verge of dissolving, as its only members will be the British Overseas Territories, and second, he will face pressure due to his age. Consequently, he will abdicate the throne and appoint a new successor.
Who? A man «who never expected to become king.» This has led to the explosive claim that it might be referring to Prince Harry.
«The premise is that Queen Elizabeth II will die in 2022, at the age of about ninety-six, five years before her mother’s reign. Prince Charles will be seventy-four years old in 2022 when he ascends the throne, but the resentment toward him held by a certain segment of the British population, following his divorce from Diana, Princess of Wales, still persists,» Reading wrote in his book.
Next, given King Charles’s advanced age, he speculates that pressure is forcing him to abdicate in favor of Prince William. However, in a second scenario, Redding says that William will not be able to assume the role of king and «Prince Harry will, in fact, become king in his place.».
Facing Many Challenges
With Elizabeth’s death, Prince Charles, who until then had been the heir apparent, ascends to the throne, ending a wait of more than 70 years—the longest of any heir in British history.
This role may be difficult for him. His mother was extremely popular and respected, but she leaves behind a royal family whose reputation has been tarnished and whose relationships are strained—including allegations of racism on the part of Buckingham Palace officials.
Charles will face these challenges at the age of 73, making him the oldest monarch to ascend the throne in a thousand years. By his side is his second wife, Camilla, who still divides public opinion.
To his critics, the new king is weak and unfit for the role. They mock him for talking to plants—a photo of him published by the BBC went viral—while they still bring up his failed first marriage to the late Princess Diana.
His supporters, on the other hand, say that the good work he has done is being misrepresented, that he has simply been misunderstood, and that on issues such as climate change, he was ahead of his time. They argue that he is a thoughtful man who cares about Britons of all classes and social strata.
