A sailboat ran aground on a rocky shore in Piso Gyalo Kapsali shortly after 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 17, disembarking refugees and migrants.
According to reports, there are 97 people of Afghan origin, mostly men, 5 women, and 5 children aged 3 to 12.
Coast guard and police forces rushed to the scene immediately, and in the early hours of the morning, the migrants were taken to the Kapsali Asylum, where they remain under the supervision of the authorities.
