We no longer remember when this has started the unacceptable tactic of Athens to accept Turkish presidents and ministers to make “private” visits to Thrace! It doesn't matter anymore, because ALL the parties that ruled, starting from the darkest period for Greek-Turkish relations, the Simitis government, accept these “visits”.
“Why shouldn't Dendias go to Samsun and Trebizond where they speak Greek after Cavusoglu goes to Thrace?”
The question was posed by the professor of Geopolitics at the University of Athens, Mr.Ioannis Mazis in the show of Panos Panagiotopoulos on Kontra Channel. And it is not a “populist” question, as the supporters of the question will hasten to say. policy of appeasement against Turkey. These “unshakable arguments” about “populism”, for those who put forward the obvious, no longer have any basis in public opinion, which is watching with extreme suspicion the government's handling of the Greek-Turkish conflict. As we have written many times, we are living in the period when people cannot believe what few of us are writing about the truth, but they themselves suspect. If even half of the “suspicions” are verified, it is certain that many developments will be initiated.
Mazis also said:
- ”The Greek elites have Germanophobia”
- ”Turkey announces that it will drill in Crete and we meet its foreign minister”
Because the Greek citizens are not naive as the rulers of these years seem to believe, they know that these are propaganda visits and a show of force. That they are part of the plan to dehumanize Thrace. Everything else is just lip service and hiding behind our finger.
Very badly, the current government continues - like other governments, including that of the Southwest - to accept Turkish demands. What private visit will the provocative Cavusoglu make to Thrace? Will he go to see his relatives?; The argument that “we have nothing to fear” is no longer enough. Turkey's ministers come to “create a climate” in Thrace and Stathis Stavropoulos rightly raises the questions:
Why is Tsavoussoglou going to Thrace and not Thessaly?;
The question is not rhetorical.
Why does Dendias go to Ankara and not to Pontus?;
The question is not rhetorical.

At the same time, in social media, for years now, there has been propaganda in favour of Turkey, with “groups” claiming culture.
