A fire broke out at the location “Fournoi” near Ammo Square in the early hours of Wednesday, August 24.
As reported by the radio station Adelin, two vehicles of the Kythera Fire Brigade with three firefighters and headed by the Deputy Chief of the Brigade, Lieutenant George Kiskira, rushed to the scene.
The timely intervention of the Fire Brigade resulted in the fire being immediately brought under control and eventually extinguished, after burning an acre of low forest vegetation. The work of the Fire Brigade was assisted by the rain that started to fall at that time in the area.
