In a climate of deep emotion, the Holy Metropolis of Kythira and Antikythira will hold a memorial service tomorrow, Friday, February 28, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., in memory of the victims of the Tembi tragedy.
The ceremony will take place at the Holy Metropolitan Church of the Crucified in Chora, Kythira, presided over by His Eminence, Metropolitan Seraphim of Kythira, with the participation of the island's priests. The prayer will follow the monthly Clerical Assembly of the Metropolis, which will take place from 11:00 to 13:00 in the same church.
The Holy Metropolis calls on all citizens of Kythira who wish to attend and pray for the repose of the souls of our unjustly lost brothers and sisters, who lost their lives so suddenly and tragically in the deadly train collision in Tempi.
One year after the accident that shocked the whole of Greece, the local church honors the memory of the victims and stands by their families, demanding justice and highlighting the importance of human life.
