At noon on Monday (16/2) the signatures for the lease contracts of four marine plots in the Peloponnese and Crete were signed, in the presence of Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
The lease agreements between the Greek state and the Chevron-Helleniq Energy consortium concern the granting of exclusive rights to explore and exploit hydrocarbons in marine areas south of the Peloponnese and Crete.
«The country is taking a leap forward in the energy sector», pointed out among others the Kyriakos Mitsotakis at the signing of the four agreements, while expressing the government's satisfaction «to have both Chevron and Hellenic Energy, our national energy champion, as partners». «Welcome and good luck!» said Mitsotakis.
The Greek State was represented by the Minister of Environment and Energy, Stavros Papastavrou, as well as the CEO of the Hellenic Hydrocarbon and Energy Resources Management Company, Aristophanes Stefatos.
On the side of the concessionaires, the contracts were signed by the Vice President of Chevron, Gavin Lewis, and the CEO of HELLENIQ ENERGY, Andreas Siaμισης.
