Armed robbery at a Rolex watch store in central Athens

An armed robbery took place shortly before 10.00 in the morning at the Rolex store at 1 Kolokotronis Street, in the centre of Athens. According to the first evidence from the ELAS, four men with their faces covered entered the store after beating and injuring the private security man, stunned the employees at gunpoint and snatched a large number of expensive watches.

According to preliminary evidence, the perpetrators fled with two motorcycles, while a hammer was found at the scene. A manhunt is underway by the police to locate and arrest the robbers.
