The Property Committee of Kythera & Antikythera, by its decision No. 45/2025, announces bidding auction for the rental of the rocky islet of Chytra, exclusively for the collection of the plant Cebreviva (Helichrysum italicum), known for its aromatic and symbolic value in Chirigo.
The auction will take place on Thursday 22 May 2025, from 09:00 to 10:00 a.m., at the offices of the Domestic Property Unit at the Commission's headquarters.
Key terms:
- Minimum annual rent: EUR 700
- Duration of the lease: One-year, until 31 December 2025
- Guarantee of participation: 1/10 of the minimum threshold (EUR 70)
- Payment of rent: In one lump sum, upon signature of the agreement
- Obligation to present a guarantor from the last bidder
- Prohibited subletting or tacit renewal
The Domestic Committee emphasizes that it is not responsible for any change in the terms, nor is it obliged to compensate or terminate the contract without sufficient reason.
The auction concerns an emblematic area of the natural and cultural heritage of Kythera, known not only for its wild beauty, but also for the traditional collection of the unique sempreviwa plant.
