who with self-denial, zeal and visible risk of their lives (without reaching the level of other heroes) tried and succeeded to save from certain destruction the Holy Pilgrimage of Myrtidiotissa, the Holy Place of our island and the bulwark of our faith, on Saturday 26/07/2025 in the afternoon, from the great catastrophic fire that hit our island, which was unfortunately not stopped anywhere and even with their own means and despite the order of the Police to leave, without of course telling them who would sit down to put out the fire and without any help from the Fire Department, which did not even have a fire truck, even though the danger was urgently pointed out.
A detailed reference to this will be made in the forthcoming TESOPP, the «General Wind» cannot be an alibi. We have already stated a Civil Action appearance in the Criminal Case you are drafting from the Fire Department to have full knowledge of it and to receive copies and submit our own pleadings and reports.
Likewise thanks belong to SAMIO Nikolaos, the excellent choice of the Virgin Mary, who, although he was on a mission, with anxiety, overwhelming interest and diligence, offered decisive help, when others, although obliged, did not even ask what had happened. We would be remiss if we did not thank the Deputy Mayor ZANTIOTIS Panagiotis and his associate STATHI Konstantinos for his immediate interest in restoring the damage to the iron pipes of the tank, caused by a crew of the DEDDIE, the details of the contractor persistently refused to give us the company, and for the continuous supply of water to the tank. It should be noted that the water supply network of Myrtidia is not owned by the municipality. The damage caused around the perimeter, mainly to the electromechanical equipment, the water supply (pipes, boreholes, etc.) and the supporting buildings, amounts to tens of thousands of euros. It is being rapidly restored with the help of visitors - pilgrims, whose numbers have increased dramatically.
Finally, we condemn unequivocally the rude, rude, despicable and why not malicious posts on Facebook, some people who question the ambulance and Evangelism, in relation to the health adventure of the Mayor and we quote the result of a scientific study, which concerns some users of social media «.... either because this is how they admire themselves, through the virtual projection of an ideal image of themselves, or because they feel part of a community; and, perhaps, among other things, because in this way they break the walls of anonymity that modern society has erected around them, by becoming known and branded, even in the environment of their virtual reality.....».
