Under total control and security is from 10.00 o'clock in the morning of Saturday 20 August the Municipal Camping Kapsali after the departure of the illegal immigrants. The Municipal Camping locked after the volunteers left and will be handed over to the Domestic Property Committee which is also the managing authority.
Despite the circulating information from official sources that the situation is a mess at the Municipal Camping of Kapsali, the site is clean over 4 acres. The only issue remains the management of food and essentials as well as the cleaning of WC.
In our communication with both Deputy Mayor Mr. Yannis Katsanevakis as well as with the painter Mr. Manolis Charos, we were assured that everything is under the control of Civil Protection and volunteers. Mr. Katsanevakis said that «camping is a mug» and expressed the his thanks to all the volunteers as well as the the Chairman of the Commission on Domestic Property, Evangelos Venardos for the concession of the space. Finally, he said that in the next twenty-four hours any outstanding issues will be settled.
