In a statement, the municipality of Kythera announces the program of this year's New Year's Eve celebrations, which will be held in compliance with all health protocols.
The announcement states:
«Due to the special measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus, the official Doxology for the New Year 2021, will take place based on the specific restrictive measures established by the Government.
Η Doxology will be held at the Metropolitan Holy Church of the Crucifixion of Chora chaired by His Eminence, Metropolitan Seraphim of Kythera and Antikythera, on Friday 1 January 2021 at 11:30 a.m.
The Local Authorities will be represented by Mayor Mr. Efstratios Charhalakis and Commander of the Kythera Naval Observatory Commander Commander Mr. Mr. Emmanuel Hamblianitis PN.
It will be followed by the Cutting of the Municipality's Cake, in City Hall, which will be held behind closed doors, i.e. without the attendance of citizens and other authorities and bodies.»
