Cine Portokalia – Last Screening: Blanca

Cine Portokalia's journey ends for this year with the amazing Blanka, a film from the Philippines.

Cine Portokalia announces its final screening for this year, on Monday, September 5, 2022, at the Patriki School in Karava.

Eleven-year-old Blanka tries to survive on her own in Manila by begging and stealing from tourists. She dreams of buying a mother. But she has to make countless attempts to collect enough money. The opportunity arises when she meets Peter, a 55-year-old blind street musician who teaches her to sing. This unusual friendship becomes the catalyst for the young and vulnerable Blanka to take control of her life.
