These Christmas are very different. We are not in a position to go out and celebrate until morning, and we certainly cannot have a party at someone's house.
The Netflix is always there for you, every moment of every day. This year's selection is wide and covers all tastes. Do you want romance? Do you want children's stories? Do you want Christmas horror stories? Or maybe Bill Murray rocking back and forth and playing himself?;
This children's film was released during the 2019 holiday season but is enjoying a second career and receiving the recognition it deserves. A simple act of kindness awakens hope in a frozen, distant place and gives birth to a Christmas legend. For big emotions.
Holiday Horror Stories
Let's move on to something completely different, for fans of the horror genre. Eight delightfully dark short stories set against the backdrop of Halloween, Mother's Day, and other holidays make up this spine-tingling horror anthology.
You have a message on your computer.
A classic romantic comedy from the 90s that plays all year round but also has a distinctly Christmassy feel. Big businessman Joe and small shop owner Kathleen fall in love via email, both unaware that he wants to close her shop.
The Christmas Scrooge
Christmas without the Grinch and Jim Carrey is unthinkable. That's undeniable. You can watch the movie on Netflix about the green creature who tries to steal Christmas from Huville, but a gesture of kindness from Cindy Lou Who and her family melts his heart. Or makes it grow.
Some movies are inextricably linked to Christmas, even if it's not immediately obvious. Tim Burton's Batman, with the incredible Danny DeVito in the role of the Penguin, is one of them. Batman battles three new villains who want to take control of the city, including a corrupt businessman, the repulsive Penguin, and the mysterious Catwoman.
A unique Christmas with Bill Murray
Bill, if you're reading this, we'll see you again this year. The awesome actor brings together a bunch of stars for a night of music, mischief, and mischievousness in this cheeky take on festive variety shows.
See you at the Festivities
Tired of being alone during the holidays, two strangers agree to keep each other company throughout the year, but eventually develop feelings for each other along the way.
Jack Whitehall: Christmas with my father
If you haven't seen Jack's stand-up specials on Netflix yet, hurry up. In this episode, he invites his conservative father to the West End stage in London for a Christmas comedy extravaganza with lots of celebrities.
A man brings his son a cute creature as a Christmas present, but it turns out to be an army of evil and dangerous little monsters. Oldie but goodie.
The Christmas movies we grew up with
For the end, I've saved a new series that reveals the true stories behind legendary Christmas blockbusters, scenes from the shoot, and interviews with the cast and crew.
