Harry Romas: «Ms Mendoni has resigned, she just doesn't know it»

The public's reception to the statements of the Minister of Culture seems to be moderate, Lina Mendoni. Despite the remarkable effort he made to convince us that and needs to give up, a lot of bad people would rather see permission her chair.

The surprise here is that these voices are not only coming from her political opponents, but also from the Inside on her side. Unfortunately, the spectre of the Nightmare continues to hover over this country, dear friends.

One such voice is our well-known Haris Romas. The actor, screenwriter, director and regional councillor of Attica with the George Patoulis spoke on the show of George Papadakis and neither more nor less said that the Minister of Culture has already resigned, just he doesn't know it.

As he said:

«The Minister of Culture has resigned and she doesn't know it. Mendoni has resigned at this moment in the minds of all people in the culture sector. In fact, she has left her post and I imagine that it is now a formality until the Prime Minister also asks for her resignation. Because it is no longer in her interest to remain there as a punching bag either. Mendoni has been a punching bag from the moment she entered the post.»

He went on to add that She's not a very good politician., so no wonder this happened:

«She didn't, of course, do the right things to build her image ever. I don't know if she has any positive things to show for her tenure. In fact she's been consumed by a series of crude comments, like the ones about artists getting black. It may be partly true, but it matters how you say it and when you say it, at what time you say them. It seems that she does not have the political instinct to be able to position herself properly and in the right way at the right time.. And that is very important for a politician.»

Another knife in the back of Ms Mendoni came from the MEP of the Southwest, Elisa Wozemberg. As he said the blue MEP on the radio, even though she believes that Lina Mendoni neither knew nor tried to cover up anything, she also believes that the minister should to do the favor to Kyriakos Mitsotakis and resign:

«It should make it easier for the prime minister because it is the responsibility of the minister to select the persons.»

It is worth noting that a similar opinion was expressed by Nikos Hatzinikolaou in his broadcast. As Mr. Hadjinicolaou, who as a boy was in the IAP, although since then he may have secretly become a fan of Abdullah Ocalan:

«First of all, I will stand on the Minister of Culture, Ms Mendoni, for whom there has been much discussion in recent days. I will accept everything she said, that she had no intention of covering up, that she was deceived by the hypocritical talent of Lignadi and that is why there were delays in her reactions and in the reactions of her ministry. Because there was a serious delay in the ministry's reactions, Mendoni's political reflexes proved too low, too late. Even if I fully accept, and I say accept, I accept her good intentions, I accept that there was never in her intention a cover-up, I accept that, but once again Mendoni can no longer stand in her current position. She can no longer sit in the position of Minister of Culture.

This is for two reasons. The head of this critical and sensitive sector must at least have the respect of the people in the field, to keep his authority intact. And here this has been lost, when thousands of people in culture sign calling on you to resign, how you will then cooperate with them and organize the cultural life of the country. How will you function in your duties when you do not have the trust of the people of culture? The second reason is that slow reflexes may be entitled to an ordinary citizen, a minister ought to have quick reflexes, to react in a fair and quick manner. And not to leave wounds open to fester, as was the case with Mrs Mendoni. Good morning Mrs Mendoni, do yourself a favour and resign soon, the longer you delay the greater the personal cost you will pay. This is unfortunately an inviolable rule and anyone who has followed political life over the last decades knows this.»

On the other hand, there are also among the of ordinary mortals voices demanding the resignation of Ms Mendoni. This morning, artists unfurled a banner outside the Ministry of Culture:
