Artificial Intelligence (AI) is an extremely important force in today's society, influencing and transforming many areas of our lives. From business and healthcare to education and art, AI is playing an increasingly critical role.
We also tested an innovative artificial intelligence platform, pictory.ai, by giving it a «command» to prepare a video for us about Athens. And this is the result. Visual material from the database was used, which in combination with the text led to the creation of the video you see here. What do you think of the result?;

Artificial Intelligence in video creation
Artificial intelligence can make a video in a variety of ways, using advanced techniques and algorithms. Some of the main methods include:
- Synthetic Image/Video:
- Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs): GANs are neural networks that can create realistic images and videos. One network “creates” images while another, the “discriminative,” attempts to evaluate them. This competitive process leads to the creation of realistic images.
- Editing Text to Video:
- Natural Language Processing (NLP): Natural language processing systems can convert written text into spoken speech and then create a video with images or edited content.
- Image and Sound Synthesis:
- Image and Speech Synthesis: Algorithms can synthesise images and sound to create a complete video. This can be achieved by synthesizing virtual characters, combining natural sound with virtual images, or even using artificial voice.
- Image movement:
- Computer Vision and Motion Capture: Artificial intelligence can detect and represent human movement based on data from cameras or sensors, creating animated mosaics or even human forms in a video.
These techniques are often combined to create advanced and realistic videos. From creating virtual environments to reconstructing historical events, AI is opening up new horizons in video production.
