«It was in ’18, I went to Kythera for a wedding and a friendly family invited me for breakfast at a house in Kalokairines, the village of the massacre. There I began to tell them that I had written my first dictionary for a dope. So learning that I like to hear stories from grandparents, they told me the story of what happened in their village. Right behind me was a frame with a photo, at least 100 years old, of a young girl. She was the daughter of one of the victims of that day.».
