Alexander Kyriakopoulos. A young man, one of the many children of Tsirigos, who grew up here and shortly afterwards started their journey to the seas of the world. And like most of our children, he set sail to conquer the knowledge and joys of life. For our island hardly keeps its people, but as some say, young children must go. To open up to the horizon, to dream, to know, to create. And then come back. Not necessarily to come back, but always to come back...
Our talented pianist, grafted with the sounds of chirping nature, with music as his compass, continues his journey, in his second year of study at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee. Just before he left, we met at the lighthouse in Kapsali for a brief chat.
For Alexander we have already written, we have enjoyed him in concerts, we have admired him for his career so far and we have faith that he will give us many joys with his journey in the world of music.
In this interview, we will hear Alexandros explain how music won him over, how he came to study at one of the best universities in the world, what Kythera, his friends and parents mean to him and how he dreams of continuing his journey with music as his compass.
Alexander, congratulations! On your journey, our thoughts will always accompany you. The young people, the children of Tsirigou are our hope for the more beautiful days to come...
