The opportunity to enjoy the competitive version of Ju Jitsu, had those who attended the pier of Agia Pelagia, on Friday, July 29, in the framework of the “7th Lefkaros Tour and Training Martial Arts” which was organized on the island of Kythera, during the four days of 28-31 July.
The interactive self-defense course included a demonstration match “Duo System”, with Theodosi Serpanos Serpanos and Stamatis Boyko of “A.S. Lefkaros” engaging in a sequence of fighting holds with full discipline and racing commitment.
As the coordinator of the event, head Instructor in the company “Lefkaros Ju Jitsu Club” and Federal Ju Jitsu coach emphasized, George Zantiotis, the martial art of Ju Jitsu is a pre-Olympic sport and is very close to being recognized by the International Olympic Committee. It is, in fact, recognised by the General Secretariat for Sport, and children who excel at European and world level are awarded points and enter universities without exams.
