Two successive atmospheric disturbances are forecast to affect the weather of our country, the first from early evening today, Wednesday 11-02-2026 until the early hours of Thursday 12-02-2026 and the second from late afternoon Thursday until the early hours of Friday 13-02-2026, with heavy rain and thunderstorms and very strong winds.

1. From the first disturbance (from early evening today, Wednesday 11-02-2026 until the early hours of Thursday 12-02-2026) the following are predicted:
Α. Heavy showers and thunderstorms
a. on the Ionian islands from Lefkada and southwards, the western Peloponnese and western Central Greece from early evening today Wednesday until the early hours of Thursday
b. in Crete, the Cyclades and the eastern Peloponnese during the night of Wednesday to Thursday
c. in eastern Macedonia and Thrace (mainly in Thassos, Samothrace and coastal mainland areas) on Thursday until the morning hours
d. in the Dodecanese and the islands of the northern and eastern Aegean Sea on Thursday until the morning hours.
Β. Very strong to gusty south southwest winds will blow,
- in western Greece on Wednesday evening and
- in the southern Aegean Sea (Crete, Cyclades and Dodecanese) on Thursday until the morning hours.
2. From the second disturbance (from late Thursday afternoon until the early hours of Friday 13-02-2026) the following are predicted:
Α. Heavy showers and thunderstorms
a. in the western and southern Peloponnese and the Ionian islands of Zakynthos, Kefalonia, Ithaca from late afternoon on Thursday 12-02-2026 until the early hours of Friday
b. in Crete and the Cyclades during the night from Thursday to Friday.
c. in the Dodecanese and the islands of the northern and eastern Aegean on Friday until the early morning hours.
d. in Thrace temporarily on Friday morning 13-02-2026.
Β. Very strong to gusty winds will blow,
- in western Greece on Thursday evening (south southwest winds) and in the early hours of Friday (west northwest winds) and
- in the southern Aegean Sea (Crete, Cyclades and Dodecanese) on Friday until noon.
