International News Agencies, Media and Athens newspapers in constant communication with the Kythera.News This summer, they broadcast information, news, and audiovisual content from the Important events on the island. With the refugee on the Smyrna–Italy smuggling route but also the fires at the end of summer, the Kythira information website was found at the forefront of developments.

For the first time, the Kythera.News collaborated with the Associated Press, an international news agency. Also, the Euronews, the European news channel broadcast news from Kythira, including reports and audiovisual material, in collaboration with the Kythera.News.

During the same period, other media outlets that broadcast information and audiovisual material from Kythera.News and its contributors included the Athens-based the morning newspaper «Kathimerini», the Nation, the First Subject, the Newspaper of the Editors etc.

During this period of intense news coverage, collaboration with the entire Kythira community, the authorities, and volunteers was essential for providing the most comprehensive coverage both on and off the island.

The Kythera.News must Acknowledgments to everyone who worked together during these moments, to each and every citizen who contacted the website, as well as the Deputy Mayor Yiannis Katsanevakis for ongoing updates, at the George Samios for the photographic coverage, the AdelinFM Radio Station which also provided first-hand information at critical junctures, the volunteers from the Solidarity Group, the Kythira Coast Guard Station, the Fire Brigade, the Kythira Police Station.
