A local resident and father of three children, who went to the hospital's emergency room with severe stomach pains, breathed his last in the chair of the University Hospital of Patras.
This incident comes to shake the residents of Patras again, almost a month after the tragic death of a 49-year-old man who died of a heart attack a few hours after he left the hospital «Agios Andreas» (13/7).
He was then informed that the hospital was not on duty and he was referred to the University General Hospital of Patras.
Regarding the new incident, the unfortunate man died inside the hospital, waiting to be examined by doctors.
The patient went with his wife to the hospital because he had severe pains in his stomach.
After they arrived together at the ER, the man waited his turn to be examined by doctors. However, according to the newspaper report. «Opinion», he felt unwell and leaned over to his wife's side, telling her that he «did not feel well».
The woman then called for help but, despite the doctors' efforts, they were unable to revive him, as it was later found that he had suffered a cardiac arrest.
