Cleaning areas around bulky waste bins

His services Municipality of Kythira are intensively cleaning up the areas around bulky waste bins at various locations on the island. Three such locations have already been cleaned up, and more will be cleaned up soon.

However, while the Municipality of Kythira is making a special effort to restore these areas, We observe the systematic effort by a group of citizens to create a new source of pollution in these areas.. Specifically, before the cleaning crews had even left the area where the large bin is located in Potamos, unknown individuals deposited household waste, which should have been placed in regular green waste bins, outside the bin in question, polluting the area once again. The Municipality will, of course, investigate the matter and imposition of the corresponding fines.

Because these actions, which we believe are deliberate, degrade the place and its inhabitants, while creating a bad image of the island for its visitors, Our municipality will now carry out daily checks. at the locations where these bins are placed.

End please once again island residents to follow the instructions set out in the Kythira Municipality cleanliness regulations and in the relevant announcements regarding the type of waste that should be placed in each bin.
