As travel continued to rebound in Q3 2021, Airbnb is believed to have strengthened its lead in the growing alternative accommodation market. Now, as we enter winter, Airbnb's fully revamped platform shows us the changes to its operation and the benefits for owners and travellers alike.
As the founder of the company explains Brian Chesky: «Thanks to technology, we can work from our own space. But thanks to Airbnb, we can work from anywhere. In the last year, we've been thinking a lot about this possibility and how to design our service for current needs.».
In the «Winter Edition» video you'll watch, you can discover the revamped Airbnb with more than 50 upgrades and innovations. Four of them are:
1. (More) Flexible Search
A new way to search when you have flexibility about where and when you travel. Since its launch, Flexible Search has been used over 517 million times.
2. Translation Engine
Translations on Airbnb are getting better. The new technology is called Translation Engine.
3. Accessibility check
To make its accommodation more accessible for people with disabilities, Airbnb has created the Accessibility Check.
4. Verified wifi speed
To help guests find out the speed of the wifi before they book, we have created the “Verify wifi” feature.
5. AirCover
AirCover offers A to Z protection for every host. AirCover starts with the amazing benefits already offered to every host.
