U.S. Lawmakers Put the Brakes on Turkey's F-16 Deal

Democratic and Republican members of the United States, have joined forces to oppose the sale of fighter jets F-16 in Turkey, in a recent letter to the White House. One of the lawmakers who spearheaded this initiative, the Republican Gus Bilirakis, speaking on OPEN's Main News Broadcast, expressed confidence that Congress would block any arms exports to Turkey. As the U.S. Congressman says: “The U.S. will always protect Greece’s sovereignty,” while, through OPEN, he addresses the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan asking him… “to stay away from Greece.”.
