Continued in Patsis scandal with a new “episode” given by Paul Polakis. In a post on social media, P. Polakis presents new data from SYRIZA's Transparency Department, according to which the private company ONEX owned by businessman P. Xenokostas collected €50 million through direct assignments and photographic processes by ELTA and ELTA Courier.
In fact, since 2019, ELTA and ELTA Courier have not simply outsourced some of their activities, but have assigned them all, almost photographically, to the same private individual.
Here we are dealing with a series of direct assignments and “closed tenders,”, (negotiation procedure without publication), justified by the current government as an emergency measure due to the coronavirus. The data shows that there were 186 identical contracts from November 2019 to September 2022 (130 for ELTA Courier and 56 for ELTA S.A.) with amounts ranging from €20,000 to over €1 million.
However, ONEX does not have its own employees to carry out such a project, but hires them in turn from other companies. Initially from a company belonging to its group and subsequently from third-party companies.
One of the main subcontractors is “IKE SPEEDCON SMPS,” which was established in June 2020, is based in Piraeus, and specializes in internal sorting, transit, receipt, transport, and express delivery of parcels, with a turnover of €4.9 million in 2020. For the working Middle Ages experienced by workers in the sector, with €550 per month, no legal three-year contracts, dismissals after one month, etc., Ef.Syn. had written a detailed report. Furthermore, the same newspaper had written that ONEX TECHNOLOGY SYSTEMS & BUSINESS SOLUTIONS, a subsidiary of ONEX, had been directly awarded projects worth €272,080, including the supply of equipment and support for the operation of the “Coordination Center for the fight against coronavirus in the Prime Minister's office at the Maximos Mansion.”. ONEX has undertaken, among other things, the restructuring of the Elefsina shipyards, which are directly linked to the French corvettes that will be “built” in Greece.
So, if what SYRIZA's Transparency Department has brought to light is true, we are talking about a scandalous abuse of assignments in a photographic manner, again under the pretext of the pandemic. We remind you that the CEO of ELTA, Mr. Georgios Konstantopoulos, resigned due to the Patsis scandal. A. Patsis is alleged to have received over €1 million for legal advice through ELTA.
It is abundantly clear that the revelations coming from SYRIZA's Transparency Department are expected to culminate in the coming period, with the aim of “technocratism” in Maximos, while Alexis Tsipras himself stood by the “blue party” in a recent interview he gave to SKAI.
According to Pavlos Polakis' post:
“Since 2019, ELTA and ELTA Courier have not simply outsourced some of their activities. They have transferred ALL of them to a private company! In essence, they have completely privatized the two organizations, without the state receiving any compensation. On the contrary, it is paying ADRA, the third party to which they “conceded” the public organizations.
- €50 million is given to a single company (ONEX) in just three years, initially through direct assignments and then through photo competitions in which only ONEX could participate. (photos 5-9)
However, ONEX does not have its own employees to carry out such a project. It hires them from other companies. Initially from a company that belonged to its group and then from third-party companies (mainly Speedcon).
In other words, the contractor ONEX pockets, based on a rough estimate, around €25 million in three years, SOLELY AS AN INTERMEDIARY (commonly referred to as a middleman) between ELTA and the company that employs the workers!
I REPEAT: HE IS POCKETING 25 MILLION EUROS TO MAKE THE MIDDLE MAN DAVATZIS BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT THE LEADERSHIP OF THE MINISTRY OF DIGITAL POLICY WANTSAND THE APPOINTED MANAGEMENT OF ELTA!!!!!!!
And so... with this kind of money, ONEX comes along and buys out the Elefsina Shipyards, and «obliges» (sic) the otherwise successful minister (and well-known bulldozer of Elliniko) Adonis Georgiadis to rejoice in the «development» and be photographed smiling and happy with ONEX executives...
- And while ONEX has made 25 million out of thin air, contract workers are experiencing a new medieval era of labor, a labor GALLEY, receiving a salary of approximately €550 per month, without overtime, without any rights, etc. They are dismissed after one month with a simple text message (there are complaints and related publications – e.g. this one in EFSYN).
If ELTA managed this financial hemorrhage of 25 million and a total of 50 million for the public good, simple arithmetic shows that it could employ approximately 1,150 PERMANENT and WELL-PAID workers per year... (50 million divided by three years divided by 12 salaries divided by 1,200 gross = 1,157 employees).
- What are the ministers responsible, Mr. Georgantas Livanios and Mr. Pierrakakis, doing and WHY? Are they watching the public coffers being plundered and signing off on it?
And I ask again, WHY?;
Where is the benefit for the public or employees, Mr. Georgantas and Mr. Livani?;
Where is the benefit for the public or employees, Mr. Pierrakakis? ;
Will anyone speak up, or shall we discuss this further?;
