Earthquake of 4,1 degrees in Arkalochori

The Geodynamic Institute of the National Observatory of Athens recorded the earthquake that occurred at 12:40 p.m. today in Arkalochori and was felt across a large part of the Heraklion and Lasithi regional units.

According to the announcement: «On behalf of the four organizations that make up the Unified National Seismological Network, the Geodynamic Institute of the National Observatory of Athens announces that today, at 12:40 p.m. Greek time, the seismological network recorded a mild earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale. The earthquake occurred 344 km SSW of Athens. The epicenter of the tremor was located 4 km east of the town of Arkalochori.».
