«The Prime Minister is not aware, has not been informed that dozens of intubated patients die outside the ICU while on a waiting list, that patients are selected for ICU, that 80% of patients die of coronavirus outside the ICU. Those intubated outside the ICU lose their lives because they are hospitalised with other patients in clinics without continuous medical and nursing supervision by qualified staff, without proper equipment, exposed to hospital germs.», the statement says and continues: «we wonder how the Society of Intensive Care, the Panhellenic Medical Association, the teleentatologists like Mr. Vassilakopoulos did not comment on the statements of the Prime Minister.».

We expect the Prime Minister to understand his mistake and to apologize to the Greek people for what he said about the ICUs as well as for the great responsibilities of his government in the management of the pandemic and the strengthening of the NHS.. We hope that the Prime Minister will immediately retract these statements.
