Parliament: Amendment for the new fuel aid - Today the vote is expected

Today, the plenary session of the Parliament votes on the new support of the state to citizens, which aims to to cover the cost of motor fuel consumption in July, August and September 2022. Also known as “Fuel Pass 2” was submitted in the form of an amendment to the bill, entitled «Regulations for the response to the pandemic of the coronavirus COVID-19 and the protection of public health», which is currently being debated and voted on in the plenary session of the House of Representatives.

The provisions of this amendment:

1. A Financial Facility is provided from the State Budget to every natural person, who is a tax resident of Greece with a declared family income for the tax year 2021 up to thirty thousand (30,000) euros, increased by three thousand (3.(3,000) euros for the spouse or a member of a civil partnership and additionally by three thousand (3,000) euros for each dependent child of the household and up to the amount of forty-five thousand (45,000) euros for the purpose of contributing to the coverage of the cost of fuel consumption for the months of July, August and September 2022.

2. The total financial support amounts to the following amounts:

a) one hundred (100) euros using a digital debit card for vehicle owners other than motorcycles - mopeds, with primary residence in the Regions of North Aegean, South Aegean, Ionian Islands, Crete, in the Regional Unit of Islands of the Region of Attica, in the Regional Unit of Sporades of the Region of Thessaly, the Regional Unit of Thassos of the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, the island of Samothrace of the Regional Unit of Evros of the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace and the island of Ammouliani of the Regional Unit of Halkidiki of the Region of Central Macedonia. The above amount is eighty-five (85) euros, if the beneficiary chooses to deposit in a bank account.

b) eighty (80) euros using a digital debit card for eligible owners of vehicles other than motorcycles - mopeds, with main residence in the rest of Greece. The above amount shall amount to sixty-five (65) euros, if the beneficiary chooses to make a deposit in a bank account.

c) seventy (70) euros using a digital debit card for beneficiaries owners of motorcycles - mopeds, residing in the Regions of North Aegean, South Aegean, Ionian Islands, Crete, in the Regional Unit of Islands of the Region of Attica, in the Regional Unit of Sporades of the Region of Thessaly, the Regional Unit of Thassos of the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, the island of Samothrace of the Regional Unit of Evros of the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace and the island of Ammouliani of the Regional Unit of Halkidiki of the Region of Central Macedonia. The above amount is fifty-five (55) euros, if the beneficiary chooses to deposit in a bank account.

5) sixty (60) euros through the use of a digital debit card for beneficiaries who own motorcycles - mopeds, with main residence in the rest of Greece. The above amount is set at forty-five (45) euros, if the beneficiary chooses to make a deposit in a bank account.
