Shock and awe are the images that have been making the rounds in Greece for the last few hours with a team of firefighters who are at the front of the fire in Varybombi, passing «scratching» by the flames that have covered the area.
One of the firefighters recorded on his mobile phone the moments of agony experienced by the team when the flames surrounded them.
«Kostas, am I coming through?» one of the fire truck occupants can be heard asking, as the flames could be seen in front of them. «Yeah, man, yeah man, don't think about it. Let's go, it's going to shut us down,» says another.
Eventually the fire truck managed to get through the fire but in any case, the firefighters will remember for a lifetime the adventure they had.
