Today, January 29, 2021, the 2020 Christmas bonus—funded by the state budget—and the special-purpose compensation will be credited to recipients’ accounts.
Specifically, pursuant to a decision by Labor Minister Kostis Hatzidakis, the transfer of funds totaling 59,120,963.18 euros was approved, to 756,980 beneficiaries from Budget Line 1033-501-0000000 and Account Number 2310989899 for fiscal year 2021, as follows:
a) The payment of the 2020 Christmas bonus, funded by the state budget, in the amount of 46,217,069.93 euros, to 727,147 beneficiaries.
(b) The suspension of employees’ employment contracts, for the payment of special-purpose compensation totaling 12,037,901.25 euros to 28,181 beneficiaries.
c) In unilateral affidavits submitted by employees entitled to mandatory rehire by employers of primary and non-primary hotel and tourist accommodations, as well as to employers of tourist bus companies, for the payment of special-purpose compensation totaling 63,714 euros to 134 beneficiaries.
d) Unilateral affidavits from professionals in the arts and culture, tour guides, and tour escorts, regarding the payment of special-purpose compensation totaling 802,278 euros to 1,518 beneficiaries.
