A tragedy occurred in Sifnos, where it was found dead one 21-year-old underwater fisherman.
Specifically, on Wednesday evening the Port Authority of Sifnos was alerted by an employee of the Municipal Port Fund of Sifnos, for the drowning of a person carrying out underwater fishing, in the sea area «Platy Gialos» South of Sifnos.
A private boat with members of the local Port Authority on board went immediately to the spot, where they found the 21 year old Greek national underwater fisherman at great depth.
Then, a patrol boat of the coast guard went to the spot with passengers divers, who they recovered the body of the 21-year-old, which was transferred by boat to the relevant fishing shelter, from where he was taken by ambulance and transported to the Regional Medical Center of Sifnos, where his death was determined. Preliminary investigation is carried out by the Sifnos Port Station.
