Sunny weather is expected across the country on Tuesday, but starting at noon and continuing into the afternoon, local cloud cover will develop in the mountainous mainland regions and in Macedonia. Scattered showers and possibly thunderstorms will occur during those same hours in the mountainous mainland regions, while temperatures will rise slightly, according to the weather forecast from the National Observatory of Athens.
More specifically, temperatures in Western Macedonia will range from 17 to 34 degrees Celsius, in the rest of Macedonia and Thrace from 18 to 36, in Thessaly from 19 to 38, in Epirus from 18 to 33, in Central Greece from 18 to 37, in the Peloponnese from 19 to 37, in the Ionian Islands from 19 to 33, on the islands of the North and East Aegean from 19 to 36, in the Cyclades and the Dodecanese from 20 to 32, and in Crete from 17 to 34 degrees Celsius.
Winds in the Central and Northern Aegean will blow from the north at 3 to 5 Beaufort. In the Southern Aegean, winds will blow from the west to northwest at 3 to 5 Beaufort. In the Ionian Sea, winds will initially blow from variable directions at up to 2 Beaufort, but from the morning onward they will shift to southwesterly (southern to westerly) at 2 to 4 Beaufort.
Sunny weather is expected in Attica. Winds will blow from the north at up to 3 Beaufort, but at midday and in the afternoon they will temporarily shift to the south at the same intensity. Temperatures in central Athens will range from 23 to 34 degrees.
Sunny weather is expected in Thessaloniki. Winds will blow from varying directions at up to 2 Beaufort, but at midday and in the afternoon they will temporarily shift to the south at up to 3 Beaufort. Temperatures in the city center will range from 25 to 33 degrees.
