According to Anastasia Argyriadou's report for OPEN, the young woman was taken unconscious to hospital after the accident. The cyclist was wearing a protective helmet, but it came off her head when she was hit.
«When I got here the woman was unconscious under the truck, covered in blood. She was whole under the truck,» an eyewitness told OPEN. The driver didn't see her at all because of the rain. She was not moving or speeding,» he said.
