The Secretary of State Nikos Dendias is heading to today's Geneva, in order to participate in the Informal Five-Party Meeting on the Cyprus Issue convened by the Secretary-General of the United Nations, and will take place from April 27 to 29.
In this context, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will participate in the scheduled plenary sessions of the Informal Five-Party Meeting on Holy Wednesday, April 28, and Holy Thursday, April 29, and will meet with the Secretary-General of the United Nations on Holy Wednesday, April 28, as part of António Guterres’ bilateral consultations with the participants in the Informal Five-Party Meeting. Later that evening, he will attend the working dinner of the session.
While in Geneva, the foreign minister is scheduled to meet this afternoon with the United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Envoy for Syria, Geir Petersen, while on the sidelines of the Informal Five-Party Meeting, meetings have been scheduled between him and the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nicos Anastasiades (today, April 27) and with his British counterpart, Dominique Raab (tomorrow, April 28).
