SYRIZA criticizes the government for its behavior regarding the Prespa Agreement before and after the elections, on the occasion of today's meeting between the Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister of North Macedonia at the Maximou building.
“In today's meeting with the Foreign Minister of North Macedonia, Mr Mitsotakis called for the faithful observance and full implementation of the Prespa Agreement”, SYRIZA said: “Mr Mitsotakis, after first causing an unprecedented upheaval in the country with his extreme populism, after first identifying with Golden Dawn in his hate speech against the SYRIZA government and after exposing Greece internationally with his hypocrisy, today completed a 180-degree turn on this issue.”.
“As SYRIZA, we welcome today's stance of Mr Mitsotakis, who now honours the Prespa Agreement in an official manner. As a next step, we expect the apology due from him, both to SYRIZA, which he slandered, and to the Greek people, whom he deceived with lies,” the opposition party adds: “With the best of luck, he should finally bring the bilateral agreements to the Parliament for ratification, which he is postponing, because he fears his own party.”.
