«Workplaces and public transport are, according to the scientific community, the main hotbeds of pandemic transmission.. But the reality does not seem to move Mr.Karamanlis», underlines the SYRIZA-PS in a statement, referring to today's interview of the Minister of Transport in “Thema 104,6”, where he «challenged the view that the means of transport are a focus of overtransmission».
«Mr Karamanlis is not only disagreeing with the scientific data, he is also disagreeing with himself. His own ministry, with an amendment on March 10, admitted that the “use of public transport poses serious risks of spreading the coronavirus”, the opposition noted and commented:
«Unfortunately, we are in the unfortunate position to inform Mr.Karamanlis that: a. the earth is not flat. b. children are not born of the stork. c. the means of transport are a source of coronavirus transmission».
«It would be good, both Mr Karamanlis and the Mitsotakis government as a whole, to at least stop making fun of the citizens who are daily piled up in the transport system. It is obvious that they neither have, nor are they interested in acquiring a plan to protect public health,» concludes SYRIZA-PS.
