The Kythera.News camera visited Potamos on Sunday, July 10. We stopped by the famous flea market, filmed the traffic on the main street, went down to the parking lot, which was packed to capacity, and as we were leaving the village, we witnessed the road taken over by vehicles searching for a free parking spot.
This is a typical Sunday for the main village in the north, which is bustling with life in the summer, but at the same time “cries out” for corrective measures so that in the future there will be no instances of drivers who simply drive through it only to leave immediately because they can’t find a single spot to park.
«This is a potential customer we lost, and the local economy didn’t benefit from them,» a local shop owner told us. «But there’s also the customer who, precisely because they had a hard time finding parking, arrives in the end, in a worse mood, which also does not leave a positive impression on the overall experience they gain from visiting our area,» he adds.
