Announcements on energy subsidies today

This morning the Minister of Environment and Energy is expected to, Kostas Skreka the announcement of support measures for households and businesses to compensate for the impact of the appraisals in energy.

According to existing information, the subsidy is expected to be at slightly lower levels than in January, as there was a correspondingly small decrease in wholesale electricity prices (EUR 227.30 per megawatt hour in January compared to EUR 235.38 in December).

Thus, the average support is expected to be slightly lower than 40 euros per month compared to 42 euros in January and will be scaled up to 15 cents per kilowatt-hour and the first 150 kilowatt-hours of consumption per month and 11 cents for the next 150, up to 300 kilowatt-hours per month. At 17 cents per kilowatt hour, the subsidy for beneficiaries of the Social Household Tariff is expected to be set at 17 cents per kilowatt hour.

Subsidies for commercial tariffs are expected to remain at last month's levels, as are subsidies for gas consumers, which are set at EUR 20 per megawatt-hour for domestic consumption.
