The Orange Karava club announced an important distinction for the young Kytherian directors of the film «The champion and Vangelis». The film was awarded the best film prize at the international film festival in Wales “Wicked Wales film festival”.
According to the association, it was the best outcome of a series of participations in international festivals such as Pequeno Cineasta in Brazil, Seoul International Children's Film Festival in Korea and of course the Greek Camera Zizanio.
«The Champion and Vangelis» is the product of a film workshop that takes place every summer in Kythera by the Orange Club in collaboration with the Youth Plano. About 15 children participate every year and the aim is to get to know the process of film production by making a film.
The Orange Club has been hosting similar programs for the past five years and the little squeakers continue to rack up accolades. But what is more important is that through the films, Kythera travels around the world and the children participate in a beautiful cultural roller coaster.
