From Monday, May 24, 2021, through Saturday, May 29, 2021, all private-sector employees with a formal employment contract, as well as those who own their own businesses, will be able to obtain two free self-tests —one for the week of May 24, 2021, through May 30, 2021, and one for the week of May 31, 2021, through June 6, 2021, according to a relevant announcement by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.
Please note that, during the coming week from May 24, 2021, through May 30, 2021, the requirement for the above employees to take a self-test up to 24 hours before the first day of the week on which they will be working in person at the workplace—and the subsequent reporting of the result to the «ERGANI» Information System.
In other words, as noted in the announcement, for the period from May 24 to 30, an employee may report to work tomorrow, Monday, and submit the result of their self-test later in the week.
Please note that private-sector employees in a dependent employment relationship are required to report their test results to the «ERGANI» system, «ERGANI,» to which they are automatically directed after logging into the self-testing.gov.gr platform and selecting “Report Self-Test Results for Employees.”.
Those who own a sole proprietorship are advised to report their test result by logging into the self-testing.gov.gr online platform and then selecting «Report COVID-19 Self-Test Results.».
Finally, it should be noted that, during the week of May 24, 2021, through May 30, 2021, SEPE inspection teams, during the on-site inspections they will conduct as part of their audit work, will provide relevant information regarding the implementation of the Joint Ministerial Decision to employers and employees.
