In Athens today, on Monday, October 6th, 2025, the members of the Board of Directors of the Trifyllion Kytheria Foundation met in an extraordinary meeting, after being informed of the death of the distinguished University scholar, prominent Kytherian and Honorary President of the Foundation
Professor GEORGIO I. KASIMATIS
who, on the one hand, with his general activity, became a great benefactor and benefactor of Kythera, and on the other hand, as President of our Foundation for a total of twenty-six (26) years, he offered, from this position, invaluable services to the Foundation and the Nursing Home, which operates in Kythera, contributing decisively to its development, since during his presidency the wing of the Nursing Home's inmates was rebuilt, vital and long-standing affairs of the Foundation were resolved, for the settlement of one of which he even travelled as far as Australia, and its property was utilized, for these reasons
DECISION
- The flag should be displayed until the day of the funeral at the Kythera Nursing Home.
- That the photograph of the late Honorary President be displayed in the Board Room of the Foundation.
- That the members of the Board of Directors of the Foundation attend the funeral of the deceased and that its President deliver a eulogy on behalf of the Foundation.
- To allocate in his memory the sum of 5.000 € to the Kytheraikos Foundation for Culture and Development (K.I.P.A.), whose initiator and founder was the late Great Kytherian and
- To publish the present resolution in the Daily and Kytheraiko Press and to post it on the Foundation's website.
