The apology of Dimitris Lignadis lasted about four hours. He had delivered an apologetic memorandum to the magistrate in which, denying any action, he described as fictions what was attributed to him by the two victims. At the conclusion of the apology, witnesses proposed by the accused gave evidence to the investigating magistrate in support of the allegations he had made to refute the two complainants.

The accused was considered to be remanded in custody with the agreement of the investigator and the prosecutor, for reasons of prevention of committing new offences on his part.
