Three of the four juvenile defendants accused of the gang rape of a 15-year-old boy in Ilion have been remanded in custody.
The fourth juvenile, who has not completed 15 years of age, was released due to his age with restrictive conditions, which were set at mandatory appearance at regular intervals at the Police Station of his residence, as well as monitoring by a social worker.
The other two defendants requested a new deadline to plead on Tuesday, which was granted as they consented to being detained for an additional day beyond the limit for detention without plea.
In their apology, the 15-year-old students allegedly accepted part of the acts attributed to them, without admitting that they raped the boy who accused them.
According to information, the minors reportedly referred to sexual acts without the use of force or threat, which they allegedly claimed were «in the context of sexual experimentation» and stating that «the roles were alternating».
