A military officer accused of raping a 19-year-old with mental problems is brought before the Prosecutor of the Military Court of Xanthi.
According to ERT, the incident occurred last Sunday outside a village of Orestiada when, as the 19-year-old complained to the police, the 46-year-old sergeant-major forcibly put him in his car and drove him to a rural location where he committed lewd acts and then raped him.
The complaint was made on Friday to the police department of Orestiada. The 46-year-old was arrested and identified by the 19-year-old. After a careful investigation of the case by the Orestiada Security, the military man confessed that he had carried out these acts but, as he claimed, with the 19-year-old's will. A case file was formed against the soldier which is being transferred to the military court of Xanthi in order to be apologized to the investigator and prosecutor tomorrow.
