For yet another year Toroneos Bay and Porto Carras hosted the North Aegean Cup which this year was also the National ORC Cup. The races were co-organized with the Open Sea Committee of the Hellenic Sailing Federation. Five days full of sailing with the weather being favourable, confirming once again that Toroneos Gulf is the ideal place for sailing in the summer.
As for the results in the ORC A class where the big boats participate, EX OFFICIO took first place, with ELLINIX Farr Away coming second and ELLINIXX completing the podium.
A taste of Tsrigotiko in the crew of the champions!
The crew of the champions consisted of: George Petrochilos (captain), Theodore Tsulfas, Anthony Daponte, Nikos Rodousakis, George Tsulfas, Robert Goglis, Marina Papapanagiotou, Maria Tsamopoulou, Maria Christina Orfanou, Manolis Daponte, Konstantinos Tridimas, Tasos Milionis.
In the ORC B category the interest was undiminished until the last day with the boat NORRAS finally coming out as the winner. In second place was BAXIMUS with GRANMA X completing the podium.
In the ORC SPORT category, MARAKI PLUS CONSTRUCTION was the winner with KOURSAROS second and KRAKEN completing the podium.
The president of the Thessaloniki Yacht Club that organized the third race of the North Aegean Cup, Akis Tsalikis pointed out: «The races went very well. The races went very well.
