OAED: From today the payment of the extension of unemployment benefits that expired in April

Today, Monday 10/05, the payment of the monthly extension of the of benefits which expired between 1 and 10 April.

In particular, according to what has been announced by OAED, the payment of the extension of the regular unemployment benefit, the long-term unemployment allowance and the self-employment unemployment allowance will be completed automatically, by transfer to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries, without any action being required from the beneficiaries; and there is no reason to go to the Employment Promotion Centres (EPC2).

The monthly extension corresponds to the following amounts:

– Regular unemployment benefit - up to EUR 399,25 per month, increased by 10% for each dependent member.

– Unemployment benefit for self-employed persons - EUR 399,25 per month.

– Long-term unemployment benefit - EUR 200 per month.

The extension of benefits that expired after 10 April will be paid in stages until the end of May.

Payments appear in the bank accounts within three working days after payment by the OAED.

Only those who remain unemployed during the period corresponding to the extension and who have not benefited from extensions of the same subsidy are eligible.

Beneficiary unemployed persons who started working during the extension period will receive a proportional amount based on their days of unemployment.
