One barometric low, moving from Italy to the Eastern Aegean, is expected to cause severe bad weather in the whole country during Monday - Tuesday and the first half of Wednesday, according to the forecasts of the National Observatory of Athens/meteo.gr.
During Monday, the strongest phenomena will be located in Western Greece, during the night towards Tuesday the strongest phenomena will be located in Eastern and Northern Greece (including the cities of Athens and Thessaloniki), while for the rest of Tuesday the strongest phenomena will be located in Western Greece, Eastern Macedonia, Thrace and the Aegean. On Wednesday, the phenomena will gradually decrease in the Cyclades, Crete and the Dodecanese.
At the same time, on Monday snowfall will occur in the western, central and northern mountains, which will be dense in Epirus, while on Tuesday snowfall will affect mountainous areas of the mainland and possibly mountainous parts of northern Greece.
