The solving of a crime committed in 2017, in Kypseli, where a 29-year-old Greek mother together with her 33-year-old former Polish partner murdered her 7-year-old child and then hid his body in a toolbox on the veranda of their apartment in Kypseli, causes horror. The couple, who were arrested this morning and detained at the Attica General Police Directorate, confessed and are due to be brought before the prosecutor on Monday.
According to information from police sources, the 33-year-old foreigner, presented by the child's mother, in January 2017, closed the mouth of the 7-year-old boy with duct tape, because he was naughty, as he confessed to the police, in the apartment they were living in at the time, in Skiathou Street, in Kypseli. The death of the child, who had a little sister, 8 years old, was caused by suffocation.
The couple then built a “grave” with bricks in the attic, where they buried the unfortunate boy. Later, when the owner of the apartment evicted the couple, the Pole put the child's bones in a toolbox and wandered around the streets of Athens with it, and then broke up with the boy's mother. The latter claimed that the boy's Polish biological father had taken the child with him to his country and had since disappeared.
The confessed perpetrator then rented an apartment in Astypalea Street, also in Kypseli, while he placed the boy's bones in two black bags in the toolbox, which he then hid inside a sofa.
The Department of Crimes against Life of the Attica Security Directorate, following information about the disappearance of the 7-year-old child, proceeded late last night to the arrest of the 29-year-old woman and her former partner, who, finally, confessed in the morning.
